ISLE Annual Conferences
The Indian Society of Labour Economics'(ISLE) annual conference is a unique occasion of bonhomie, camaraderie and sharing of knowledge and experiences, which all the members of the Society eagerly look forward to. In addition to the members, the Conference also attracts a large number of other distinguished academicians, representatives of industry, trade union leaders and policy makers. Each annual conference provides an excellent forum for labour economists, professionals interested in labour and employment relations, policy makers and trade union leaders, among others, to discuss the important problems and issues concerning labour and employment.
List of Past Conferences
ISLE has been holding annual conferences regularly since its inception at various places in the country. So far 58 such conferences have already been organised at various places in the country. Several of these conferences have been inaugurated by prominent dignitaries which in recent years include former President, late Shri K.R. Narayanan, and former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

The 62nd Annual Conference
62nd Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Labour Economics (ISLE) was held in IIT Roorkee, Uttarakhand during 11-13 April 2022. This Conference was organised by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Roorkee, Uttarkhand, India. Prof. Alakh N. Sharma, Director, Institute for Human Development, New Delhi was the Conference President. Dr. S.P. Singh, Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Roorkee, Uttarkhand was the Organising Secretary of the Conference.

The Indian Society of Labour Economics (ISLE) held its 63rd Annual Conference in Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh during 1-3 March 2023. This Conference was organised by the Centre for Development Studies and Department of Economics of Rajiv Gandhi University. PROFESSOR JEEMOL UNNI, Professor of Economics at Amrut Mody School of Management, Ahmedabad University, Ahmedabad was the Conference President. DR. VANDANA UPADHYAY, Professor & Head, Department of Economics, Rajiv Gandhi University was the Local Organising Secretary of the Conference.

The 64th Annual Conference
The Indian Society of Labour Economics (ISLE) held its 64th Annual Conference in the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, India during 29-31 March 2024. The Conference was organised by the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad in collaboration with Department of Liberal Arts, IIT Hyderabad, Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS), Hyderabad and the Council for Social Development (CSD), Hyderabad. Professor Ritu Dewan, Visiting Professor at the Institute for Human Development, New Delhi and Former Professor and Director, Department of Economics, University of Mumbai was the Conference President. Prof. Alok Kumar Mishra, Professor, University of Hyderabad, was the Organising Secretary of the Conference. Dr. Jajati Keshari Parida, Associate Professor, University of Hyderabad, and Prof. Badri Narayan Rath, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H) were the Joint Organising Secretaries of the Conference.
